A Word to All of Our Valued Customers . . .

Ray Gill, co-owner of KenRay Models, passed away on December 29th, 2008, after an extended illness. Ray was a talented model builder and won national awards in many different categories, among them figure painting and scratch building World War I armor. After he retired from Sawhill Tubular Products in 1993, Ray began a second career as a manufacturer of model parts for many small model companies. I met Ray 15 years ago at a local hobby shop, where he spent his evenings helping young people learn the hobby of model building. He enjoyed working with kids and teaching them about the things that he loved, using humor as his way of connecting with them. Ray also donated his time as an assistant coach at a youth inline hockey facility, teaching players that they were stronger as a team than as individuals.

I consider myself privileged to have had the opportunity to know Ray and to work with him to build KenRay Models. He was a good friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Those of us who knew Ray personally understand he would want KenRay Models to continue on. To that end KenRay Models will continue producing the quality products our customers have come to know and expect from us. Thank you for your patience with us in our time of loss and transition.
